all about Leonor
THE ONE AND ONLY.
I’m Leonor: linguist + educator, photo-taker, poem maker. All-around creator. A proud lefty with an INFJ personality.
I was born in China, and I’ve lived in Florida, Indiana, New Mexico, DC, and Virginia (and I also spent a summer studying abroad in Saint Petersburg)… but I currently call Baltimore home. In my spare time, I enjoy road tripping—33 states & counting—and jet setting around the world.
I am currently pursuing my M.S. degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Education. In May 2019, I graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Culture and Politics, which focused on linguistics + education. In addition to teaching, I am interested in pursuing research initiatves related to language justice and educational access.
A few of my favourite things…
sunflowers // muted greens // the smell of sunscreen
Books: Great Expectations, The Giver, Speaker for the Dead
Movies: Edward Scissorhands, The Shawshank Redemption, The Fisher King
Artists: Ed Sheeran, The Decemberists, The Fratellis, Lana Del Ray, Tessa Violet
When I’m not creating, researching, or teaching, you can find me where I’m happiest: basking in the sunshine, surrounded by warm light, with my boyfriend + two cats (Charlemagne & Napoleon) by my side.
